SITUATION VACANT FOR MATHEMATICS

The Nelson Mandela is looking to employ  a full-time  Mathematics Teacher capable of teaching all levels of middle year Mathematics and in the upper school, if possible, both the Abitur and IB stream, beginning in August 2010. Applicants additionally able to teach IB Economics will be favoured, as will applicants able to teach computer science. The school is looking for someone prepared to make a long-term commitment to the school. The successful candidate will join a strong mathematics department . The Nelson Mandela offers mathematics in English and German at all levels. In the upper secondary, years 11-13, all levels of both IB and Abitur mathematics are offered. Several of our current year 11 and 12s participate in the Frauenhofer Foundation Young Mathematicians School of Excellence.The successful candidate will be expected to teach in English, but an ability to speak German and to teach Abitur mathematics will be advantageous to the applicant.
